City Of Columbia, SC Says Inmates Causing Sewer Breaks, Costing Taxpayers

Columbia officials say prison inmates are flushing handmade weapons, underwear and various other debris down their toilets, causing a nearby sewer pump to break and costing taxpayers millions. WJBF News Channel 6’s SC Capitol reporter, Robert Kittle, has more.

Augusta Canal Work Will Close Parts To Public

It’s a work to upgrade the city water system. The city is putting new pumps in at the pumping station, but to complete the work, the canal will be drained. But with the water down, the city plans to build up the canal.
