Suspect’s Motion Examined In TV Anchor Slaying
A handwritten motion by the man charged in the slaying of an Arkansas television anchorwoman from South Carolina will be the focus of a court hearing. The motion by Curtis Lavelle Vance asks Judge Chris Piazza to relieve his team of state-provided public defenders. Vance claims his defense lawyers “already criminally and conspiratorially” crippled his defense by withholding material from him.

Judge Denies Requests In TV Anchor’s Slaying
A judge has denied several requests by defense lawyers for a man accused of killing an Arkansas television anchorwoman from South Carolina. Pulaski County Circuit Judge Chris Piazza said Tuesday that Curtis Lavelle Vance does not need a court order banning police from talking to him without attorneys or protecting him from jailhouse informants.
