WJBF-TV Wins 2009 Emmy Award
WJBF News Channel 6 returned to Augusta this weekend with a 2009 Southeastern Emmy Award. WJBF News Channel 6 attended the 35th Southeastern Emmy Awards at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, GA for their creative MascotVote.com campaign. The project won the Television Advanced Media Excellence-Advanced Media Interactivity category.

Plant Closes In Sandersville: Jobs Coming To McDuffie County
There are 100 new jobs are coming to Thomson, as of July 2009, and depending on the economy, the number could grow to 150, going into 2010. Thomson Plastics will expand its operation by 50,000-square feet to accommodate the move of the production and assembly operations from the Sandersville facility, which is about an hour and a half from Augusta. SC Ordered To Stop Making Religious License Plates
