Area School Wants Access To Students’ Social Networking
Does a school have a right to demand access to your child’s Facebook or Myspace account? That’s the question some local parents are asking. School leaders at Victory Christian School say it’s all about making sure the students adhere to the school policies and they claim it’s not an invasion of privacy. Dozens of Columbia County Students Cited for Underage Drinking

The Byrd and the Swine Flu
Aiken County students went back to school on Monday…to a few changes in the classroom. There are additional bottles of hand sanitizer around school, and there’s extra attention focused on hand-washing. District officials say one thing not ‘welcome back to school’ is the Swine Flu. Police: GA Principal Arrested In Cheating Probe
Police say a suburban Atlanta principal and his assistant principal have been arrested in connection with an investigation into whether student test scores were altered to improve school performance. Former Atherton Elementary principal James Berry was arrested at home Friday. Assistant principal Doretha Alexander turned herself in to police Thursday night and was later released on bond.

Construction of Grovetown High School Nearly Complete

Man Wanted For Wagener High Principal Threat Arrested In Florida
According to Capt. Troy Elwell, Tregory Tyler has been arrested in Lee County, Florida. He was apprehended Thursday around lunch on unrelated charges. Tyler was wanted for making a threat against the Wagener-Salley High School principal on Tuesday.

Spirit Creek Middle School Staff Members Reprimanded
In an e-mail sent to WJBF News Channel 6, Louis Svehla, the Public Information Officer for the Richmond County Board of Education, says several Spirit Creek Middle School employees received letters of advisement and reprimand.
