President-elect Barack Obama and President George W. Bush have arrived at the U.S. Capitol for Obama’s inauguration as the nation’s 44th president. They traveled together in a motorcade from the White House, where Bush had hosted the Obamas and Bidens for coffee.

Man Throws Shoes At President Bush In Iraq
A man threw his shoes at President George W. Bush and was dragged away by security officials during the president’s farewell trip to Iraq. The incident occurred as Bush was appearing Sunday with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Bush ducked and wasn’t hit by either shoe.

President George W. Bush has landed in Iraq on a surprise, farewell visit. It’s a last stop for him in a country that has defined his presidency and a chance to celebrate a new security pact with Iraqi leaders. Under intense security, Air Force One landed Sunday afternoon local time at Baghdad nternational Airport. The president left Washington on Saturday night on the 11-hour flight.

President Bush To Return To SC
President George Bush will make a brief visit to South Carolina later this week. After several appearances in Florida on Friday, the President flies to the Charleston Air Force Base where he will meet and pose for pictures with members of the Simpsonville Stars. The team recently won the Little League Softball World Series.
