Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will not travel with the team for their preseason game at Indianapolis. Vick is not eligible to play in Thursday night’s game. Vick is allowed to travel.

Mike Berry scored twice and Alexander Parent added a goal and two assists as the Mississippi Sea Wolves downed the Lynx 4-1 in the preseason finale on Saturday night at James Brown Arena.  Dallas Steward scored the lone goal for Augusta, his second in as many night.

Jeff Mason scored two goals and added an assist as the Gwinnett Gladiators defeated the Lynx 5-2 in a preseason matchup on Friday night at James Brown Arena. Dallas Steward and Matt Auffrey tallied goals for the Lynx in the loss.

Marvin Williams scored 19 points, Josh Smith had 18 and the Atlanta Hawks spoiled Terry Porter’s debut as Phoenix coach, rallying to beat the Suns 100-96 Wednesday night. It was the second victory in two exhibition games for the Hawks, who also defeated Orlando on Monday.

New Augusta Lynx coach, John Marks, has won more games than anyone else in ECHL history, but in his 15 years in the league, it’s a good bet he’s never started a season quite like this. The Augusta Ice Sports Center is being repaired…the ice at the James Brown Arena (JBA) won’t be ready until Tuesday…forcing the Lynx an hour up the road to open preseason camp.
