1 Dead, 4 Hurt In St. Louis Plant Shooting

A fire department spokesman says one person was killed and four others wounded when a man with an assault rifle walked into a St. Louis plant and began shooting. Fire Department spokesman Bob Keuss says authorities believe the shooter is still in the building.

Report: SC Utility To Drop Coal-Fired Power Plant

State-owned utility Santee Cooper is expected to drop plans for a controversial coal-fired power plant in South Carolina. The State newspaper of Columbia reported Monday that the utility’s board is expected to ratify a committee’s earlier vote to suspend efforts to secure permits for the Florence County plant.
