Carnival Cruises To Leave Charleston, SC Year-Round

Carnival Cruise Lines announced Thursday that it will will begin offering regular cruises from Charleston, the first ever year-round cruise schedule for the port. Carnival will operate five-, six- and seven-day voyages to The Bahamas and Key West, Fla., from downtown Charleston beginning May 18, 2010.

Celebrity Cruises Adding SC Trips From Charleston

The South Carolina State Ports Authority has announced that Celebrity Cruises will offer Caribbean cruises from the Port of Charleston beginning next year. Starting in February, the line will offer a series of six 10- and 11-night cruises from Charleston aboard the Celebrity Mercury. The ship carries almost 1,900 guests.

Saudi Shipper To Call At Port Of Charleston

A new customer is about to call at the Port of Charleston. The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia is starting a new service between Charleston and several ports in the Middle East and India at the end of this month.
