SC Magistrate Refuses To Drop Second Poker Case
A South Carolina magistrate has refused to drop a second case against five men convicted of gambling last month in Mount Pleasant. The Post and Courier of Charleston reported the attorney who represented five Texas Hold ‘em players fined $262 in the Mount Pleasant case failed to get similar charges dismissed in another case.

New Computers Causing Problems For South Carolina Lottery
A new computer system at South Carolina Education Lottery retailers had glitches that caused it to misread some winning tickets as losers, frustrating players. Two UGA Bulldogs Football Players Dismissed
Coach Mark Richt says he has dismissed two football players from 10th-ranked Georgia’s team, Donavon Baldwin, a junior safety, and Walter Hill, a redshirt freshman wide receiver. Richt said Baldwin’s departure was a mutual agreement between the two after a meeting to discuss Baldwin’s situation and Hill was kicked off because “he didn’t live up to the standards of doing things the Georgia way.“
