About two dozen towns across South Carolina are in trouble with the State Treasurer’s Office. They were supposed to turn in a record of the town spending for the year, but one mayor says the cost to do that outweighs the penalty for being late. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has more.

The House has voted to admonish Rep. Joe Wilson over his “You lie” outburst to President Barack Obama during the president’s health care speech to Congress last week. WJBF News Channel 6’s SC Capitol reporter, Robert Kittle, tells us the outburst may hurt tourism in the Palmetto State.

South Carolina students are looking to pass a brand-new test. The Palmetto Achievement of State Standards, or PASS test, will be given Tuesday. It replaces the PACT test, or the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Test. State education officials hope the new test will PASS where the PACT test failed. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has more.
