California Girl Missing for 14 Years, Found ‘Alive and Well’
After a 14-year search for his daughter, Dean Click finally knows that she is alive and safe. That her mother, Wendy Hill, is the sole suspect in their daughter’s alleged abduction came as little surprise to Click. “We had a brutal divorce back in 1991,“ Click said of his former wife, who was arrested last week before making bail from the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez, Calif. “And a brutal custody battle ensued. When I was given more custody, my wife took off. The feds got involved and issued a warrant.“ Jessica Click-Hill, who is now 22, was reported missing in 1995 when she was 8. Her father, who had shared custody, said that when he arrived for a visit, Jessica and her mother had vanished. Walnut Creek, Calif., police called him Wednesday to say that she had been found.

California Highway Patrol Car Stops Toyota Prius With ‘Stuck’ Accelerator
James Sikes, whose 2008 Toyota Prius accelerated suddenly on a California interstate Monday, reaching 94 MPH before he was able to bring it under control with the help of the California Highway Patrol, said the cause of the incident was a “stuck” accelerator.
Anti-Tax Group Rallies In Atlanta
Tax hike opponents warned state legislators not to raise taxes to balance the state’s budget. The rally Tuesday was headlined by Grover Norquist, head of the national anti-tax group Americans for Tax Reform. About 100 protesters - some wearing tea party T-shirts - gathered on the Capitol steps.
Assisted Suicide Network Members Indicted In Georgia
A Georgia grand jury has indicted four members of an assisted suicide group on charges they helped a 58-year-old with cancer kill himself. The Forsyth County grand jury on Tuesday indicted former Final Exit Network president Thomas E. Goodwin and three others on charges of offering to assist in the commission of suicide, tampering with evidence and violating state anti-racketeering laws. The group was also indicted.
Downtown Aiken Parking Limits Lifted
A major change in policy is coming for parking in downtown Aiken. At its meeting, Monday night, the Aiken City Council voted to do away with those two hour parking restrictions in front of downtown businesses. It’s a major win for merchants…many have argued the two-hour limits drive away business.

Ohio State University says a 51-year-old employee suspected of shooting two co-workers, one of them fatally, has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
