A South Carolina Highway Patrol motorcycle caught fire, Friday morning, as the trooper was riding it. The incident happened around 11:00 a.m. at the Publix shopping center on Wade Hampton.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, 35-year-old Christie Valenzuela, of Aiken, SC was pronounced dead at the Medical College of Georgia, on Friday afternoon, at 3:55 p.m. Mrs. Valenzuela was the passenger on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by her husband, 40-year-old Michael Valenzuela, also of Aiken.

According to Investigator Sean Cochran, with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, a two-day search ended, Sunday, when the body of Marshall Cain Beck was located in a wooded area near the Brown Road, Peach Orchard Road intersection.

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned a crash involving a motorcycle has occurred in North Augusta. The crash happened at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Martintown Drive.

A South Carolina sheriff’s deputy and another man have died in a wreck in Rock Hill. Authorities say 40-year-old Lancaster County Sheriff’s Sgt. Stacey Roberts of Lancaster died in the wreck about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, a 30-year-old North Augusta man was pronounced dead at Medical College of Georgia Shock Trauma Unit at 3:23 p.m. Friday. Timothy Shane Frierson was the driver of a Kawasaki 600 ZZR motorcycle that crashed at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. Frierson was transported to Medical College of Georgia just after the crash. According to witnesses Mr. Frierson was traveling in excess of 100 MPH at the time of the crash.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident. The accident happened around 6:00 a.m., on Highway 1, near Farmview Road, in Aiken County.

An accident Wednesday afternoon, in McDuffie County, sent one person to the hospital.

Gale Harold was in critical condition Wednesday after the “Desperate Housewives” actor crashed his motorcycle the day before, a hospital spokeswoman said. Harold was awaiting further tests at USC Medical Center, spokeswoman Adelaida De La Cerda said. She gave no further details on his injuries.

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after an accident, Monday afternoon. It happened on Mike Padgett Highway, in Augusta.
