Authorities say the mother of a missing Florida 7-month-old secretly turned her over to her baby sitter in the middle of the night.

A New Mexico woman kicked off an airplane at the Burlington International Airport three years ago for breast feeding her baby is suing Delta Air Lines. The Burlington Free Press says negotiations failed to reach a settlement between the Atlanta-based airline and Emily Gillette.

Authorities searching for a missing north Georgia woman began interviewing 180 sex offenders in nearby Tennessee as the case extended into a seventh day. Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead says investigators on the Kristi Cornwell case were talking to sex offenders in counties closest to the Georgia-Tennessee border on Tuesday. Road checks and neighborhood canvassing in Blairsville continued.

A South Carolina mother is facing charges after her 14-year-old daughter crashed a car, killing a small child in the back seat. The Item of Sumter reports Friday that 30-year-old Nicole Ford has been charged with seven counts of unlawful conduct toward a child for letting the teen drive.

WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that, on Thursday evening, August 6th, 2009 at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested 23 year-old Eddie Williams, Jr. without incident at his residence on Hudson Road, near Wadley, Georgia for the murder of his 52-year-old mother, Janice Williams, on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009.

A woman charged with murdering her 3-1/2-week-old son used a knife and two swords to dismember the child and ate parts of his body, including his brain, before stabbing herself in the torso and slicing her own throat, police said Monday. Otty Sanchez, 33, is charged with capital murder in the death of her infant son, Scott Wesley Buchholtz-Sanchez. She was recovering from her wounds at a hospital, and was being held on $1 million bail.
