Corpse-Shortening SC Funeral Home Open For Now
A judge says a South Carolina funeral home where a corpse’s legs were cut so it would fit in a casket can remain open as it appeals the revocation of its license. The order issued Tuesday says funeral director Michael Cave and Cave Funeral Home in Allendale could suffer irreparable harm if they have to stay closed until the state Administrative Law Court can hear an appeal next month.

Troubled Allendale, SC Funeral Home Owner Speaks
The owner of a troubled Allendale funeral home is speaking out after losing his business license. The South Carolina Funeral Service Board says someone at the funeral home severed the legs of a 6-foot-7 man so his body would fit into his casket. WJBF News Channel 6’s Fraendy Clervaud has the story.

SC Revokes Funeral Licenses For Dismembering Tall Body
The South Carolina funeral board has revoked the licenses of the funeral director and funeral home which handled a 6-foot-7 man whose legs apparently were cut to fit in his casket. A state licensing spokesman said the Board of Funeral Service voted Monday to revoke the funeral directors’ license of Michael Cave and the license of Cave Funeral Services of Allendale.
