Stabbing in Downtown Augusta
One person was stabbed in what appears to have been a fight in a nightclub Tuesday. It happened in the “After 3 Club” at the intersection of Wrightsboro Road and 12th Street

Augusta Man Killed in Afternoon Shooting
A shooting on 2nd Avenue in Augusta has left one man dead. Investigators tell us 20-year-old Antonio Perez Johnson, of the 2000 bock of Central Avenue, was shot once in the chest around 2:15 this afternoon. He died in the MCG Emergency Room about 25 minutes later. Investigators are looking for 19-year-old Darrion Antwonn Williams for questioning.

One Man Injured In Augusta Shooting
A Sunday afternoon shooting has sent one man to the hospital. The shooting happened around 2:00 p.m., on Shalimar Drive, which is off of Richmond Hill Road near Dean’s Bridge Road.

Pink Ribbons Hung At MCG To Kick Off Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Wednesday, October 1st, marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So, the Medical College Of Georgia is doing its part to raise awareness around campus. An estimated 180,000 American women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer, this year, and some will come to MCG for treatment. When they arrive, they’ll see lots of pink ribbons around the hospital and college facilities.

Augusta Takes Big Step To Help MCG Expansion
Augusta taking a big step to help expand the Medical College of Georgia. During the last year, the city has acquired land on the site of the former Fatman’s Forest for student housing, and the Gilbert Manor public housing complex for the site of a new dental school. Monday, Commissioners held a special called meeting to approve a loan for millions of dollars for the MCG expansion deal.
