GBI Releases Revised Sketches Of Wanted UGA Professor

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, two revised sketches of UGA shooting suspect George Zinkhan may make it easier to spot him even if he has shaved off his hair or beard, said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation artist who developed the different looks for Athens police investigators.

Police: UGA Professor’s Passport Found In Jeep

Athens-Clarke County police say they’ve found the passport of a University of Georgia professor suspected of killing his wife and two others outside a community theater. Capt. Clarence Holeman confirmed Monday that the passport of George Zinkhan was found inside the wrecked Jeep uncovered in a ravine a few miles from his home Friday. Authorities say the marketing professor never showed up Saturday for a flight he had scheduled to Amsterdam prior to the April 25 shootings.

Accused UGA Killer’s Jeep Found, Alert Issued

Police say they’ve found a vehicle that belongs to a former University of Georgia professor suspected of killing his wife and two other people outside a community theater last week. Athens-Clarke County Police said Friday morning that they found George Zinkhan’s vehicle overnight in the northwestern part of Clarke County, the same county where the university is located.

On Washington Road, an electronic billboard is flashing pictures of the George Zinkhan, the suspected shooter in three Athens, GA deaths…he has not been seen since Saturday.

Athens Shooting Victim’s Funeral Held In Augusta On Thursday

In a WJBF News Channel 6 Crime Tracker Report, funeral services were held Thursday for Marie Bruce. Bruce was one of three people shot to death in Athens, last Saturday. Her husband, a professor at UGA, is believed to be the killer. WJBF News Channel 6’s Fraendy Clervaud was at the funeral and has more.

Athens, GA Residents Urged To Be Cautious As Search For Killer Continues

Officials at the University of Georgia are urging Athens residents to be cautious as the search for a marketing professor suspected in three killings continues. Classes resumed Monday on the campus where 57-year-old George Zinkhan has taught since the 1990s. Meanwhile, the university announced that he has been fired.

UPDATED: UGA Professor Wanted for Shooting

Authorities had few leads Sunday as they searched for a University of Georgia professor who disappeared after his ex-wife and two other men were shot to death outside a local theater company near campus. George Zinkhan, a 57-year-old marketing professor, was last seen Saturday afternoon by his next door neighbor when he dropped off his two young children at the neighbor’s house and said there was an emergency. Zinkhan left in his red Jeep and hasn’t been spotted since.
