Ex-SC DSS Official To Plead Guilty

The former finance director of South Carolina’s social services agency has agreed to plead guilty to stealing more than $5 million from the agency. A plea agreement filed Monday shows Paul Moore is pleading guilty to mail fraud and theft of government funds.

UPDATED: Former UGA, NFL Football Player Arthur Marshall Charged With Mortgage Fraud Claims

A former NFL football player with ties to Augusta is facing federal charges. A federal grand jury has returned a 22-count indictment against Arthur Marshall. Marshall is charged with fraud and money laundering in his real estate ventures. He is also accused of defrauding three banks in obtaining loans for seven different properties in Columbia and Richmond Counties.

Rally To Support Former Augusta State Senator

It’s been four years since former State Senator Charles Walker, from Augusta, was sentenced to ten years in Federal Prison on conspiracy, mail fraud, and tax charges. But, his supporters are taking to the streets to urge an investigation into what they call a political prosecution. WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story.
