Gastonia, NC Police Officer Shot and Wounded, Suspect Killed, Listen to Calls for Help
A North Carolina police officer has been wounded and a suspect killed during a confrontation after the officer responded to a burglary call. It happened around 3:00 a.m. Monday morning at a home on Dallas Spencer Mountain Road, in Gaston County, west of Charlotte. WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that South Carolina’s State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is now investigating this shooting to see if there is a connection to the Cherokee County serial killings.

Stimulus Money Creates Jobs In Georgia
The State Transportation Board has selected 49 projects from across Georgia as the first installment of hundreds of transportation projects throughout the state that will begin during the coming yeat utlilizing $932 million in federal stimulus funds designed to create and sustain jobs. Lincoln County Commissioners Slash Budget, Workers Furloughed
