There’s new information in the brutal beating of a man in the bathroom of the Sears store at the Augusta Mall. You’ll remember 54-year-old Lawrence Stephens was beaten so badly in November that he had to spend 3 nights in a hospital. Now, investigators need your help to find two men. They say the men used Stephens’ stolen credit cards at a local Wal-Mart.

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 cash reward for anyone providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the November 23rd beating and robbery of a 54-year-old Augusta man inside of the bathroom of Sears at the Augusta Mall.

An Augusta man ends up in the hospital after holiday shopping takes a horrible twist. Tonight, investigators need your help to find the people responsible for severely beating a shopper at Sears.  WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has the details.
