USC-Aiken Students Offered Free HIV Testing
Students at USC-Aiken were encouraged Thursday to get free HIV testing while representatives from Sean’s Last Wish were there. The tests are completely confidential, and students were counseled about safe sex and sexually transmitted diseases.

Aiken County Churches Prepare To Help Children For Christmas
It’s not even Thanksgiving, but they’re gearing up for Christmas at Bel-Ridge Baptist Church in Belvedere, South Carolina. The church is a collection spot for “Operation Christmas Child.“ The project collects shoeboxes packed with gifts for children in more than 100 impoverished countries.

They Fought For Their Country, Now They’re Fighting For Jobs
As we honor our veterans on Wednesday, we’re also faced with a grim reality that many of them…are unemployed. The Aiken County employment office sees as many as 350 vets a month, looking for a job.
