State health officials say influenza is spreading across South Carolina. Dr. Robert Ball with the Department of Health and Environmental Control told The Post and Courier of Charleston that flu is now widespread across the state. The newspaper reported that DHEC information released Thursday show incidents of flu are highest along the coast.

The Columbia County Health Department will be holding walk-in flu clinics at the Evans Government Complex in Building A. The clinics will be on October 1, 3, 8, 9 and 10th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day.
