Augusta’s “Great Debate”

The “Great Debate”, or at least, “the latest debate” for those who want to serve on Augusta’s commission.  The Imperial Theatre downtown the spot Tuesday night.  9 candidates…3 seats up for grabs on the commission…1 night.  Districts 1…3…and 5 on the ballot next Tuesday…so this one of the last chances to convince those so-called swing voters that still haven’t made up their mind. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has more.

Beatles Tribute Band, Augusta Symphony Members To Put On Concert To Benefit Imperial Theatre

Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a special benefit concert for the Imperial Theatre. The concert is being put on by Beatles cover band, Ed Turner and the Number 9 Band, as well as a few members of the Augusta Symphony.

Augusta Band Recreates The Beatles’ Rooftop Concert

Getting back with the Beatles…hundreds turned out Friday at the Augusta Common to hear the music of Ed Turner and the Number 9 Tribute Band. The band took to the roof of an adjacent building, much like the “mop toppers” did, 40 years ago, in their final concert on top of their studio in London.
