Grant Money Helps Local High School Improve Graduation Rate

The graduation rate at Lucy C. Laney High School is the lowest in the county, at 30%.  However, an infusion of grant money could help improve those numbers. Count on WJBF News Channel 6’s Renita Crawford for the story.

Rightsizing Augusta Schools Discussed At Education Conference

Right-sizing the efficiency of Augusta’s schools was the topic at an education conference. Statewide budget cuts are causing school systems across the board to get creative and slash school spending. School board members held a retreat this weekend to finalize right-sizing data and Monday afternoon Superintendent Doctor Dana Bedden talked about those plans. Count on our Fraendy Clervaud.
