The Forgotten Veterans On Veterans Day

You can’t ignore the numbers. On any given night across the country, 54,000 veterans are living on the streets. The number has gone down slightly in Georgia, but the problem still remains. Myrtle Beach To Limit Homeless Feeding In Parks

No more daily lunches for the homeless at city parks in Myrtle Beach. The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported that City Council voted 6-1 Tuesday to limit meals for the homeless in city parks to four times a year.

Violence Comes With Territory For Homeless

Tuesday, the body of an Augusta homeless man was found beneath a bridge over the Augusta Canal, near downtown. He had been killed by a blow to the head, and it was considered a murder. An overnight fire at an Augusta apartment complex causes major damage to two units…leaving families homeless. The fire happened at Cedar Grove Apartments on Richmond Hill Road. Fire crews got the call just before 11 p.m., Monday night.
