On the street where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. preached and is buried, thousands of black Atlantans gathered tonight to honor the sacrifice of the civil rights icon as they cheered on the unlikely candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.

On September 23rd, 1962, “The Jetsons” premiered on ABC. It was the first program to be carried by the network in color.
