Judge Says No To “I Believe” License Plates; SC Group Says It Will Issue A Version
One of the people who sued to stop the state from issuing the “I Believe” Christian license plate says he has no problem with a private group going through the process to get the DMV to make the plates. A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that the plates were unconstitutional because they were created by the state legislature, which meant the state was endorsing one religion. Now, the Palmetto Family Council has announced plans to have them produced. WJBF News Channel 6’s SC Capitol reporter, Robert Kittle, has more.

Assistant SC Attorney General Resigns After Being Caught With Stripper
A former SC state lawmaker resigns from the state prosecutors office! Authorities say 66-year-old Roland Corning was stopped Monday, after officers spotted his car in an area known for sex! Police say he was with a stripper, and they found Viagra, and sex toys…It happened near the Elmwood Cemetery, in downtown Columbia. Ida Dargan McMaster, the mother of South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster, has died at her home. She was 88. Henry McMaster said his mother died in her sleep Saturday night.

SC Attorney General Wants Probe Of Governor Sanford Flights
South Carolina’s attorney general wants state ethics commissioners to review Governor Mark Sanford’s travels. The letter Thursday from Attorney General Henry McMaster to the chairman of the Ethics Commission follows Associated Press investigations of Sanford’s use of state aircraft for personal and political trips, and his flights on commercial airlines.
