Morehouse College officials say the company whose name was on a bus that rolled over with band members from the college on board is not the company they hired to transport the band. One of three buses, carrying 42 students, overturned on Interstate 75 on Saturday en route to a football game in Albany.

A trucker clung to the back of his trailerless semi Tuesday while a man police say commandeered the vehicle led police on a 50-mile chase down an interstate in Georgia. The semi eventually slowed enough for the trucker to leap off near the end of the chase.

Henry County Police Investigate Boy’s Death

The body of a 5-year-old boy found in a pit near his home in Henry County has been identified as Alexis Rivera. Henry County Police said the youngster’s remains were found late Monday night in a sludge pit, according to WSB Radio.

A Henry County man is facing multiple charges including animal cruelty for throwing a cat. Henry County police arrested 38-year-old William Morse of McDonough on Friday.

Police: Robber Tossed Cat Into Air

Police are looking for a man they say robbed a forestry building and then flung a cat several feet into the air as he escaped. Police in Henry County said they just obtained video from the incident that occurred in October at the Georgia Forestry Commission.
