SC Gun Owners Having A Hard Time Finding Ammunition
The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy can go through a lot of bullets. It has 18 classes of students a year, with 75 students in each class and each student using about 600 bullets. There are two giant tubs at the firing range holding thousands of spent cartridges, and those are just from two classes. Saluda County Man Buried In His Car
Even though he reached the end of the road, a local man decided to stay in his car. Lonnie Holloway was buried in Saluda, South Carolina on Tuesday inside one of his most prized possessions: a 1973 Pontiac Catalina. Holloway, who was born in 1918, asked that his rifles and handguns also be be buried with him. He spend 32 years working for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Suspects Sought In Burlington Coat Factory Robbery
There was a scary situation, Sunday evening, for some employees at Augusta’s Burlington Coat Factory. Employees told police they were counting money in the back of the store, just after the 7:00 p.m., when two men wearing masks waved a gun and demanded money from them.

More Than 90 Charged In Georgia Gun And Drug Bust
Authorities have charged more than 90 people in a sweeping gun and drug bust in this otherwise sleepy rural town. Federal prosecutors and local authorities said Tuesday the arrests came after a 10-month undercover operation in this south Georgia city of nearly 23,000.

Federal Court Upholds Gun Ban In Atlanta Airport
A federal appeals court has dismissed a Georgia gun group’s lawsuit seeking to allow firearms in parts of the world’s busiest airport. The group GeorgiaCarry.org sued after the city of Atlanta and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport banned guns from even unsecured areas in the terminals.

New SC Bill Would Allow Guns On School Property
A new bill introduced in the South Carolina Senate is either a worrisome threat to children’s safety or a minor change to keep law-abiding citizens from inadvertently breaking the law, depending on your viewpoint. The bill would allow anyone with a concealed weapons permit to have his gun on a school campus, as long as the gun is locked in a vehicle. South Carolina To Have Tax Free Holiday For Gun Sales
Most people are probably unaware of it, but on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, handguns, rifles and shotguns will be sales tax free in South Carolina. State lawmakers passed a bill in June that includes the sales tax holiday on firearms. They called it the Second Amendment Recognition Act.
