Summer is in full swing, and South Carolina’s agriculture officials want to make sure you’re safe when grilling outside. South Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers says Palmetto State residents firing up their grills this summer should make sure they handle all food safely.

Despite some weather worries, the grills were hot as families got together to celebrate the Memorial Day holiday at Lock and Dam Park. Good food, fishing and some name game fun were all a part of the day. WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story.
