SC Man Gets 20 Years For Conspiring To Kill FBI Agent
A 43-year-old Greenville man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for plotting to kill an FBI agent. U.S. Attorney Walt Wilkins says Dwight Spears was sentenced on Wednesday. In July, a federal jury found Spears guilty of conspiring to kill Special Agent Brian Bryan.

SC priest says he was hasty in Obama comments
A South Carolina priest says he was too hasty when he told parishioners who voted for President-elect Barack Obama to refrain from taking Holy Communion because of his stance in support of abortion. The Greenville News reported that during a Mass at his church Saturday, the Rev. Jay Scott Newman received a standing ovation. When the applause stopped, Newman said he wrote his column in haste and would have done a better job of explaining his position had he taken his time.

Man Arrested In Greenville Shooting Death
A Piedmont man has been arrested and charged with shooting and killing a man in Greenville. Greenville County sheriff’s Lt. Shea Smith says Horace Anthony Thompson was shot several times following a fight Saturday.

300 Suspected Illegal Immigrants Caught In SC Chicken Plant Raid
Federal authorities say more than 58 people suspected of being illegal immigrants were busted in a massive raid on a Greenville chicken processing plant that has been under investigation for months. In all, some 300 people are being detained following the Tuesday raid at the House of Raeford plant. Authorities are checking fingerprints and releasing people in the country legally. They said those checks will take place all day.
