An inmate has died three days after he was found hanging in a South Carolina county jail. The Greenville News reported that 18-year-old Dean C. Durham of Greenville died about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at a local hospital.

The 7th Circuit Solicitor’s office reports a Lyman, SC man received a 15-year prison sentence Monday after he admitted to giving his 23-day-old child skull fractures and fractured ribs.

Fifteen-year-old Ryan Stancell has lost his hand and most likely have to have both legs amputated after a fireworks accident Thursday night. Stancell is currently at Greenville Memorial Hospital with sever burns on his chest and will need skin grafts, according to his mother. She says they do think he will survive.
