The weatherman cooperated on Thursday and minimized weather distractions during play of the second round of the Palmetto Amateur. One of the first round leaders, Josh Gallman from Gaffney, SC, held on to his position in the lead by shooting an even par 70 and now stands at three under par.

Early Wednesday morning, the 34th Palmetto Amateur tees off at historic Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken. Some of the country’s top amateur players will attack the second oldest 18-hole course in the United States. Palmetto is a true gem…and if this tournament can find the right spot on the schedule…it could become one of the top amateur tournaments in the country, which is the club’s goal.
