Glascock Consolidated School Closed Friday; Virus Blamed
We have breaking news just into the WJBF News Channel 6 newsroom…We’ve learned that Glascock County Consolidated School will be closed Friday due to a flu bug that’s been going around the school all week.

UPDATED: Fiery Crash Destroys Popular Glascock County Barn
One person is dead, and a landmark for Glascock County destroyed, after an alleged car chase. We’re told the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the fiery crash that happened Saturday night, in Glascock County. A viewer sent pictures in to our newsroom from the scene. They tell us about 10 fire trucks responded. We’re told the chase started following a traffic stop in Wrens.

According to the National Weather Service and the Storm Prediction Center, several counties in the CSRA are under a Tornado Watch until 1:00 a.m.

UPDATE: Gibson Georgia Bank Closed, FDIC Checks Mailed To Customers
It’s an update on to the FirstCity Bank that closed, without warning, last week in Gibson, Georgia. Thousands of bank customers were outraged after the FDIC seizure, but Tuesday, some good news surfaced. Count on WJBF News Channel 6’s Fraendy Clervaud for the story.
