Founder of Local Animal Rescue Group Fights To Stay Open
Barbara Gleitsmann founded Happy Tails Rescue, 7 years ago. She says she’s never had any complaints, until September. Now, she has a court date on Thursday that could shut both of her businesses down and no answers on what would happen to her rescued animals. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop reports.

Slavery Inspired Mural Causes A Stir
A mural depicting a chapter in Georgia’s agricultural past is creating a racially charged stir in the present. A mural at the Georgia Department of Agriculture building in downtown Atlanta depicts black slaves picking and ginning cotton as a white overseer weighs the bags.

Store Owner Speaks Out On Animal Cruelty Allegations
A local pet store facing some pretty tough charges. Loo’s Cuddly Critters owner, Rebecca Loo, has been cited for multiple counts of animal cruelty. Loo’s accused of not taking proper care of the more than 60 puppies she keeps in her store. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has more.
