The Augusta State duo of Garret Siler and Ben Madgen, as well as USC-Aiken senior Chris Commons, earned more All-America honors recently when they were named to the Division II Bulletin All-America squad.

Instead of joining his college buddies, last week, for a Spring Break trip to Florida, Augusta State’s Garret Siler decided to go on a job interview. And, that decision is going to pay off big-time. WJBF News Channel 6’s Chris Kane has the details.

Augusta State’s Garret Siler was recently invited to compete in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Despite rallying from an 11-point deficit with under five minutes to play, Augusta State managed only two points over the final two minutes and fell 74-70 to unranked Cal Poly Pomona in the National Semifinals of the NCAA Elite Eight.

Augusta State’s tandem of Garret Siler and Ben Madgen were each named an All-American on Tuesday, March 24 by the NABC and Daktronics, respectively.
