According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office currently holds warrants for 10 individuals who have committed Financial Transaction Crimes, many greater than $5,000.

A federal judge has ruled that CIA officials committed fraud to protect a former covert agent against a lawsuit. According to court documents unsealed Monday, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth referred one CIA attorney for disciplinary action. The judge also is considering sanctions against five other current and former CIA employees, including former CIA Director George Tenet.

Bernard Madoff has been sentenced to 150 years in prison for his multibillion-dollar fraud scheme. U.S. District Judge Denny Chin handed down the sentenced in New York on Monday.
