Florence County Magistrate Belinda Timmons has denied bond for the third suspect charged in the death of a man and woman whose bodies were found on a Florence County dirt road

Police are investigating the deaths of a South Carolina man and woman whose bodies were found along a dirt road in a wooded area. Multiple media outlets reported that the bodies of 32-year-old Talya Poston and 26-year-old Bill Hall were found Tuesday in Florence County. Police think they were shot.

State-owned utility Santee Cooper is expected to drop plans for a controversial coal-fired power plant in South Carolina. The State newspaper of Columbia reported Monday that the utility’s board is expected to ratify a committee’s earlier vote to suspend efforts to secure permits for the Florence County plant.
