Alcoholics Anonymous Building Burns In Aiken
One Aiken organization is without a meeting place, after a devastating fire. The Alcoholics Anonymous building, located on Linden Street, caught fire Wednesday night.
Investigators At The Scene Of Augusta Hotel Fire
Investigators are back at the scene of an early Friday morning hotel fire. It happened at the Days Inn, located on Deans Bridge Road, near and Meadowbrook Drive. The fire did some heavy damage to part of the hotel. There’s no word yet of any injuries. Crews are checking for hot spots. The cause remains under investigation. “Get Out While You Can. One Day It Will Be Too Late”
It’s a warning, from one local woman who says she almost lost her life, because she was blind to her surroundings. Amanda Broome says she was locked inside a camper, which was then set on fire by her boyfriend. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the story.

Georgia Forestry Battles Grass Fire
Georgia Forestry is called into action, Tuesday afternoon. A grass fire created a large plume of smoke along Brown Road. You’re asked to avoid the area if you can. There’s still no word on the cause of the fire, but the crews at Forestry believe it’s under control and have enough equipment to handle it. Developing.

UPDATED: Suspect Sought In Aiken County Arson Case Arrested
Aiken County authorities are looking for a man suspected of setting a Gloverville house on fire with two people locked inside. They say Richard Odell Johnson, 39, of Gloverville is wanted for kidnapping, arson and criminal domestic violence after the Saturday morning fire. UPDATE: Sgt. Dave Myers, with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office tells us Johnson was arrested in Richmond County Sunday night.

Arson May Be Cause Of House Fire Near North Barton Chapel Road
Richmond County fire investigators are looking into a house fire near North Barton Chapel Road. Neighbors noticed the home was on fire around 3:00 a.m., Sunday morning…saying it started in the attic.
Haverhill Court Fire Being Investigated As Arson
Augusta investigators are looking into a fire, believed to be arson. The fire happened early Saturday morning on Haverhill Court. Investigators tell us they suspect the home was being robbed and the suspects set the house on fire to cover their tracks.

Authorities Say Fires At Shuttered SC Mill Intentionally Set; Investigation Continues
Authorities say two recent fires at a former South Carolina mill were both intentionally set. Officials in Rock Hill said Thursday that the investigation continues to determine the origin and cause of both fires at the mill formerly known as The Bleachery. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

GA Man Loses Home, Pot In Late Night Fire
A late-night fire consumed part of a Savannah man’s home and all of his pot. A call to extinguish the blaze at a home in the 2200 block of Louis Mills Boulevard turned into a drug bust just before 2 a.m. Saturday when firefighters and police discovered nine marijuana plants and a .22-caliber Ruger semi-automatic pistol.

Firefighters Battle Big Blaze At Shuttered SC Mill
A shuttered mill in northwestern South Carolina has caught fire, spewing clouds of dense, black smoke visible for miles. The mill housing the former Rock Hill Printing & Finishing Bleachery began burning Friday. The Herald of Rock Hill reported that several nearby homes had to be evacuated. There were no reports of any injuries.

Suspicious Church Fire Being Investigated In Warrenville, SC
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is investigating an early morning fire, in which there was moderate damage, to the “Rocksville” Baptist Church, located at 660 Pine Street Warrenville, South Carolina.
