Fire causes light damage at Littlejohn Coliseum
Clemson University fire officials say they don’t think there was much damage when a fire started in a utility tunnel outside Littlejohn Coliseum. Capt. Bill Shivar said firefighters were called about 8:35 p.m. Sunday and brought the fire under control.

A Jefferson County Apartment Fire Leaves One Family Homeless
A fire takes out part of a Jefferson County apartment complex. Now one family is left homeless and 4 more are waiting for repairs before they can move back in. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has more.

Fire fighters battle North Augusta blaze
Fire fighters battled a major house fire in North Augusta this morning. The blaze broke out inside a house in the 1800 block of Oriole Avenue just before 9:00 Friday morning. Firefighters called for mutual aid from neighboring fire departments for help in fighting the fire.

Man Sets Fire To Home Cleaning With Blowtorch
Men take note: a blowtorch is not the same as a broom. Coweta County authorities say Galen Winchell set fire to his west Georgia home Wednesday as he cleaned cobwebs from exterior eaves with a blowtorch. Winchell noticed the blaze when he saw smoke pouring from the attic.

Ocean Isle, NC Beach House Fire Survivor Speaks About The Last Year Since The Fire
It was almost one year ago, on October 28th, when seven college students from South Carolina died in a North Carolina beach house fire. Now, friends and family members are remembering the victims, with new events to raise money for scholarships, in their honor. The first Carolina Remembrance Concert was Thursday night, in Columbia. It was to include a slide show to remember the six USC students, and one Clemson student, who died in the Ocean Isle beach fire, last year. WJBF News Channel 6’s Capitol reporter, Robert Kittle, has an exclusive interview with one of the survivors of that fire, about the last year for him, and what he wants everyone to know about the victims.
Fire Damages Courtland Avenue Abandoned House
Several of you probably saw a large plume of smoke coming from downtown Thursday afternoon. Firefighters tell us it came from this abandoned home on Courtland Avenue.

Fire Kills SC Father, Son
Authorities say a father and son died in a fire in their Laurens home. Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols said 29-year-old Nicholas Johnson and his son, 5-year-old Nicholas Hill, died early Saturday of smoke inhalation.

Update: Mother, 7 Children Moving Forward After Fire Destroys Their Home
Last week, we brought you the story of a fire in Aiken that destroyed two homes and damaged two others. One mother and her seven children were left with nothing…no clothes, no place to sleep, no place to live. Columbia officials say a house fire has killed a 2-year-old girl and injured her parents. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire Friday morning that killed Brianna Mitchell. Her parents were rushed to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta.

A spectacular warehouse fire lit up the night sky over downtown Augusta, Friday evening. The fire broke out in an old abandoned building at 7th & Twiggs around 8:00 PM. Flames reached high into the sky and could be seen from all over the downtown area.

Four Aiken Families, Including 18 Children, Displaced By Fire
Four families, including 18 children, are devastated by a fire that swept through their apartment complex, Monday. One mother, and her seven children, have 3 days to find a new home. The fire began, Monday afternoon, and by the end of the day, two families were left to replace most of what was in their home…two other families are faced having to find new ones.
