Boat Operator In Fatal SC Accident Ticketed
The driver of a boat that capsized in a South Carolina and killed three people has been ticketed for safety violations. Multiple media outlets reported Thursday that Tiffany Tucker was cited for failing to have proper flotation devices in the 14-foot boat that was carrying six people when it capsized near Sandy Island on Feb. 18.

The owners of a dog, named “Rocky”, were in court, Thursday, after complaints he chased kids around a south Augusta neighborhood. Rocky didn’t bite the kids, but neighbors claim he is aggressive. GA Deer Farmer Fined For Running Pay-To-Hunt Facility
A Washington County deer farmer has been fined after being accused of running an illegal pay-to-hunt facility on his property. Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials have levied $70,000 in fines against Jens Brynteson, who owns Hoofbeat Plantation in Warthen. The charges are based on an 18-month investigation by the state.

GA House Of Representatives Adopts Stiffer Speeding Fines
The House has adopted stiffer fines on motorists who speed to help shore up Georgia’s ailing network of trauma hospitals. The measure would tack on an additional $200 on drivers who top 85 mph on four-lane roads and interstate highways and those who top 75 mph on two-lane roads. The so-called “Super Speeder” measure passed 113-53 Monday and goes to the Senate.

Frustrated SC DSS Director Explains $63 Million Penalties
South Carolina Department of Social Services director Dr. Kathleen Hayes told state lawmakers Thursday she’s frustrated. State taxpayers have had to pay $63 million in fines to the federal government because the state hasn’t set up a statewide child support enforcement computer system. The deadline was 1997.
