Fayetteville, GA Boy Shot By Big Brother Dies
A 10-year-old Fayetteville boy who was shot in the head while his older brother played with a gun has died. County coroner C.J. Mowell Jr. said the boy died Sunday and the shooting is under investigation.

Early Georgia Storm Damage Estimate Is $10 Million
Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner John Oxendine estimates that the storms this week did an estimated $10 million damage after taking a helicopter tour of Coweta, Spalding and Fayette counties. Oxendine stressed that it was an extremely early estimate and it didn’t cover all the areas of the state struck by tornadoes and severe thunderstorms on Wednesday.

Man Claiming To Be General Facing Sex Offenses
A Fayette County man is facing multiple counts of sex offenses involving a child. Police said an investigation revealed that 70-year-old John William Harvey often claimed to be an Army general and would wear a uniform in public.
