According to Marla Jones, with the Public Affairs Office at Fort Gordon, a seven-year-old child was confirmed as the latest H1N1 (swine flu) case for Fort Gordon.

Three more cases of H1N1 were confirmed for Fort Gordon on Wednesday. None were hospitalized and all three have fully recovered. With the latest cases, there now have been a total of 11 confirmed cases at the Post.

N1H1 (swine flu) is back in the news, as federal officials called on every state, on Thursday, to get ready for more outbreaks this fall. And here at home, Fort Gordon officials confirmed two more cases of the illness. In total, eight people have been diagnosed with the virus at Fort Gordon, in the past few weeks…including the two new cases reported Thursday. According to officials, a 21-year-old family member of a Fort Gordon servicemember was confirmed June 29 as the fourth person with H1N1 (Swine flu) at the Post.
