Edgefield Man Re-Arrested After Jumping Out Of Police Car
After a three-hour manhunt, on Saturday, an Edgefield County man is now behind bars. Investigators say 34-year-old Tony Brice was arrested on suspicion of DUI, after officers found an open container of alcohol in his car. Officers say they handcuffed Brice and put in him the patrol car, but Brice kicked out the back window, and jumped out.

The Trouble With Edgefield’s Trestle
A deadly accident this week in Edgefield has city leaders taking up the challenge to do something about a low bridge. Although signs warn truck drivers to go around the 13-foot bridge, Edgefield leaders say it’s obvious, with the number of accidents they have, the signs are either missed, or ignored. Edgefield County Authorities Seek Public’s Help In Locating Suspected Shooter
According to our news partner, ‘Edgefield Daily’, Edgefield and Johnston Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man they say is responsible for two recent shooting incidents, one that sent a 21-year-old Edgefield man to MCG with a gunshot wound to his back. Edward Fargo McKenzie, 24, of Johnston, is wanted for two counts of assault and battery with the intent to kill and numerous other charges. A reward for information leading to his arrest is being offered.

UPDATED: DHEC Tells Edgefield County To Stop Dumping, Clean Up Trash Immediately
An update on a story we brought you Monday…DHEC had an investigator at the site Monday and will have someone back Tuesday. The agency will need to decide if Edgefield County Schools can continue to use some of the land on district property to dump and burn trash. UPDATE: DHEC has told the Edgefield County to stop dumping and clean up the trash, immediately. It’s not a landfill with permits, so they can’t do what they’re doing.

UPDATED: Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office Car Crashes, Burns
According to EdgefieldDaily.com, an Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office Deputy responding to a call of a wreck on Republican Road lost control of his patrol car, hit an embankment, and reportedly was ejected from the car as it burst into flames. An ambulance responding to the first wreck happened upon the deputy lying on the side of the road and began treating him for his injuries. UPDATE: The deputy has now been released from MCG and is resting at home.

Johnston, SC Man Charged With Child Molestation
According to our news partner, EdgefieldDaily.com, a 37-year-old Johnston man has been arrested and charged with an alleged molestation involving a young girl between the ages of 13 and 14 years, on Saturday. The suspect is identified as Gustav Paul Sawvell.
