South Carolina Prisons Make $80,000 Digital T.V. Conversion
The South Carolina Department of Corrections is running a multi-million dollar deficit, but it was able to buy 1,200 converter boxes and some new antennas to make the conversion to digital televisions. The switch cost $80,000. WJBF News Channel 6’s SC Capitol reporter, Robert Kittle, has more.

Day Late and Digital Short
The Big Switch…WJBF News Channel 6 joined hundreds of stations across the country, turning off the analog TV signal. We warned, pleaded and prodded owners of older TV’s to get digital-ready, but for some, there’s no reason to wait for the last minute, they waited even longer. George Eskola has more.

Analog TV era ends in Augusta, stations switch to digital
It’s been talked about for months…the switch over to digital TV. Some of the local stations in Augusta made the change overnight, leaving owners of older TV’s who do not have cable or satellite service out in the cold, unless they have a converter box. News Channel 6’s George Eskola was out and about checking on the supplies of converter boxes.
