UPDATED: Equipment Falls Off Tractor-Trailor, Kills Motorist In Edgefield County
In Edgefield County, a tractor-trailer traveling on Highway 25 went under a train tressel, but the equipment he was carrying didn’t make it. The equipment struck the tressel and flipped back onto a small pickup truck, killing the driver instantly. UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jeremy Jay.

RAW DASHCAM VIDEO: SC Governor Sanford’s Driver Pulled, Not Ticketed For Speeding
The South Carolina Highway Patrol stopped South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s for speeding this week, but the trooper let the governor’s protective detail driver go without a ticket. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety’s director, Mark Keel, says after investigating the incident, the driver, who is a SLED agent, will now be ticketed. Additional Suspect Wanted In July Aiken Taxi Cab Attempted Robbery
According to Lt. David Turno, Aiken Department of Public Safety investigators have issued arrest warrants for Dangelo Lamar Johnson, 19 of Teague Street, in Aiken. Johnson is wanted in connection with the July 30th attempted robbery of a taxi driver in Aiken.

There has been a deadly accident on I-20, Friday afternoon. Initially, a tractor-trailer and a small car hit each other near Thomson. After pulling off of the interstate, a second tractor-trailer hit them, killing the driver of the first tractor-trailer.

Report: Rusty Wallace Considering Racing
Rusty Wallace reportedly is considering ending his three-year retirement to drive again, possibly for former rival Dale Earnhardt’s race team. Wallace’s younger brother, Kenny, wrote in his SpeedTV.com blog that the 52-year-old former Cup champion is pondering a return to NASCAR’s top series. Rusty Wallace retired after the 2005 season.
