The goal was to learn more about your own health while getting a chance to see some cool cars. GA Woman Set On Fire Prepares For More Surgery

Doctors are preparing a 42-year-old woman who was doused with kerosene and set on fire for skin grafts. Elisa Davenport’s brother says surgeons at the Doctors Hospital of Augusta worked Thursday to prepare her for the skin grafts. He says she is in an induced coma.

UPDATED: SRS Employees Treated After Nitric Acid Exposure

Three SRNS employees were transported via ambulance to Doctors Hospital in Augusta after exposure to nitric acid during a work activity at approximately 7:44 a.m., Tuesday morning. UPDATE: WJBF News Channel 6 has learned that two of the workers have been treated and released from Doctors Hospital, and the third is still being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

New Doctors Hospital Patient Tower Is First Part Of Expansion Project

In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, Doctors Hospital of Augusta, a 354-bed acute care facility with a nationally recognized burn center, celebrated, on Thursday, completion of its new three-story South Tower with a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours for the public. The new tower will officially open on Monday, August 10.
