Feds: Leader Of Radical Islam Group Killed In FBI Raid
Federal authorities in Detroit say they fatally hot the leader of a radical fundamentalist Sunni Islam group after he failed to surrender on several criminal charges. The U.S. attorney’s office says Luqman Ameen Abdullah was killed while exchanging gunfire with federal agents Wednesday at a warehouse in Dearborn.

A deadly accident this week in Edgefield has city leaders taking up the challenge to do something about a low bridge. Although signs warn truck drivers to go around the 13-foot bridge, Edgefield leaders say it’s obvious, with the number of accidents they have, the signs are either missed, or ignored. UPDATED: Equipment Falls Off Tractor-Trailor, Kills Motorist In Edgefield County
In Edgefield County, a tractor-trailer traveling on Highway 25 went under a train tressel, but the equipment he was carrying didn’t make it. The equipment struck the tressel and flipped back onto a small pickup truck, killing the driver instantly. UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jeremy Jay.
UPDATED: Aiken County Accident Claims One Life
According to Aiken County Corner Tim Carlton, an Aiken County traffic accident has claimed the life of one person. The accident happened near Mt. Beulah Road and Old Barnwell Road, in Aiken County. The victim has now been identified as 52-year-old Joseph D. Randall, of Williston, SC.

A judge has denied bond for a 21-year-old man accused of firing a stray bullet that killed a Spelman College student. Devonni Benton faces multiple charges, including murder, in the death of 19-year-old Jasmine Lynn.

Mark McClain Executed, Victim’s Co-Worker Remembers Tragic Night
At 7:24 p.m., Tuesday evening…Mark McClain was pronounced dead after being executed by lethal injection…14 years after he shot and killed Kevin Brown inside a Domino’s Pizza on Washington Road…12 years after he was found guilty of that crime, and sentenced to die. Kevin Brown’s father died shortly after the murder, but those who are still around, and knew Kevin, they say it’s a somber day, like John Eckburg, a friend and former co-worker of Kevin’s. A man convicted of murdering an Augusta Domino’s Pizza store manager during a robbery, 15 years ago, is scheduled to be executed Tuesday night. Mark Howard McClain is scheduled to be executed at 7 p.m. at the state prison in Jackson. UPDATE: Mark McClain was pronounced dead at 7:24 p.m., Tuesday night.
