Morehouse College officials say the company whose name was on a bus that rolled over with band members from the college on board is not the company they hired to transport the band. One of three buses, carrying 42 students, overturned on Interstate 75 on Saturday en route to a football game in Albany.

The remains of three American military contractors have been recoverd from the wreckage of a U.S. Army reconnaissance plane that crashed two weeks ago in northeastern Afghanistan.

The two planes collided Thursday around 8:30 p.m. about 40 miles off Folly Beach, near Charleston, said Senior Master Sgt. Brad Fallin at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter. Both jets, based at Shaw, are single-seat aircraft. UPDATE: The missing pilot is identified as Air Force Capt. Nicholas Giglio of the 20th Fighter Wing, based at Shaw Air Force Base, near Sumter, SC. UPDATE: Debris has been found in the Atlantic Ocean during search for missing pilot.

An Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office deputy is injured after a head-on collision. ‘The Edgefield Daily’ reports that Deputy Angela Cloyd lost control of her patrol car while she was in route to a call, on Monday.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, a Greenwood, SC man died Sunday evening after a crash on I-20. Justin Ryan Heinz, 28, of Greenwood, was pronounced dead at Medical College of Georgia Sunday night around 9:27 p.m.

It was a day of hard landings at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. One person was hurt when when a hot air balloon hit a tent. Officials say a man dislocated a hip in the accident. Witnesses say he fell 25-35 feet, and hit the pavement.

A second school bus accident has occurred in Columbia County, Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. outside Gate 2 of Fort Gordon.

A 20-year-old man is charged in a school bus accident that sent 8 students to the hospital, in Columbia County. About 6:45 a.m., Tuesday morning, authorities say William Pitts rear-ended school bus 966 on its way to drop off kids at Harlem Middle School And Harlem High School. The Columbia County School Transportation Department says the students’ injuries weren’t serious, most just needed to be checked out.

Two men are dead after an early Tuesday morning accident on the Gordon Highway at North Leg Road. The accident happened around 2:00 a.m.  The victims are identified as David Hawthorne and Timothy Thompson.
