UPDATED: Rocky’s Life Spared
The owners of a dog, named “Rocky”, were in court, Thursday, after complaints he chased kids around a south Augusta neighborhood. Rocky didn’t bite the kids, but neighbors claim he is aggressive. Since the incident, he’s been living at Richmond County Animal Control, waiting for a judge to rule his fate. Barclay Bishop has more in this WJBF News Channel 6 Extra.

Minnesota Teen Cancer Patient Back Home, Faces Court Date
A 13-year-old cancer patient and his mother who spent a week on the run to avoid forced chemotherapy faced a court hearing Tuesday to determine the boy’s medical fate. Daniel Hauser and his mother, Colleen, arrived back in Minnesota on a chartered jet early Monday after sparking a nationwide search.

Levy Slaying Suspect Arrives In DC For Court Date
The suspect in the slaying of intern Chandra Levy has arrived in Washington, D.C., where he’s expected to appear in court on a first-degree murder charge. U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Channing Phillips says Ingmar Guandique will be formally charged with killing Levy before his initial court appearance, which will likely be Thursday.

UPDATED: Augusta Wins Round in X-Mart Court Battle
Augusta’s fight against an adult bookstore will not be a costly battle. In a ruling issued Tuesday, federal Judge Dudley Bowen has denied the X-Mart’s motion for the city to pay extensive damages for closing the adult bookstore, almost seven years ago.

Dent’s Funeral Home Owner In Court: Customers Speak Out
Dent’s Funeral Home owner, Frank Griffin, was in Federal Court, Wednesday morning, but not everything turned out as planned. This is the second time Griffin has showed up without a lawyer, but it’s the last time the judge says he’ll postpone the hearing. It’s starting to affect everyone involved, including one woman we talked to, whose family has spent thousands in pre-paid funerals at Dent’s. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has the details.
