Did Woody Merry Violate Terms Of Court Order?

It’s something the state court solicitor says he’s looking into. We’re talking about Woody Merry’s appearence at Thursday’s Augusta Commission budget hearing. Merry was talking budget, but when his 4-minute time limit was up, he did not want to give it up. Merry is under a court order to not disrupt a public meeting in Augusta and Richmond County for one year, but Thursday’s outburst was two weeks shy of one year.

UPDATED: AP Source: Yale Killing Suspect’s Work Attitude Examined

We have the latest on the Yale University murder investigation. A lab technician made his first court appearance Thursday on the charge he murdered Yale graduate student Annie Le. Raymond Clark III was a co-worker of Le, whose body was found Sunday stuffed behind a wall in the building where they both worked. It was supposed to be her wedding day. Officials revealed Wednesday that Le had been choked to death. ABC News’ Aaron Katersky is in New Haven, Connecticut with more.

After Court Loss: Should City Settle With X-Mart? (Web Poll)

The X-Mart awarded nearly $131,000 for 99 days of lost business from the federal court, based on actions by the city of Augusta way back in 2002. Lawyers for the store say this is not the end but the beginning and will continue the lawsuit to re-open the store and collect damages for the entire time the X-Mart has been shut down by the city. If the store wins, it could cost Augusta taxpayers millions. So, is this fight still worth the possible cost? WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story. GA Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide in Death of 9-Year Old In Court

The man charged in a weekend car accident that killed a young boy will have to wait until Thursday to find out if he will be allowed to bond out of jail. James Malcolm Bell, 23, is charged with vehicular homicide in the first degree and driving under the influence, among other things, in the Catalina Drive accident that left 9-year-old Ashley Mosley dead, Saturday evening.
